General Care Discussion :: unusual behavior

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

My 3.5 inch cooter started rubbing his shell against the driftwood in the tank. He doesn't do it constantly, but at least a few times a day. His shell does not appear to have anything wrong with it, and I don't think he is shedding his scutes...It looks like he is trying to scratch an itch...is this normal?
