General Care Discussion :: Northern California Homes Needed For Red Eared Sliders

Sadly I have too many turtles to care for since I have had to separate them due to fighting. I have a beautiful 8 year old res female up for adottion and a handsome 8 year old res male. They need to go to separate homes. I also have three 4 year old female res for adoption. These were there babies. I have 7 turtles now and they are too to care for since I have to keep them separated. I love them and will only let them go to someone who is very knowledagable about their care etc. So I thought in case anyone here in Northern CA is looking for a wonderful pet, please contact me. Thank you.

You should also try a local pet adoption agency, a lot of times they'll also adopt out turtles and other reptiles for people. If I lived in North CA I'd be willing to take the 4 year old female, but alas I live Utah. Good luck trying to find new owners. At least you you know your limits. I can tell you really love them becaue you know when you just can't give the quality of life to them that you would like. I'm sure you'll be able to find new homes for them.

Well,I'm sorry you have to get rid of your turtles.But it's good that you know you can't provide for them,and are willing to get rid of them,because most people will keep them,even though they know they should give them up.I definately support your decision.

Man it's just to bad to see another one of these threads. It's great that your accepting responsibility and not just letting them go somewhere but trying to find them a good home. Hats off too you.
