I havent done a growth / water quality check since the new yr (Jan 1st) and figured it was about time to do one. Best I can tell Niko seems to be doing quite nicely...

Last & Current Growth Readings
1/1/2009 - 28 grams, 2.5 inches
2/21/2009 - 36 grams, 2.6 inches (Nikos length may or may not be accurate for this reading since I had to use a tape measure and not the usual ruler I use to measure him / her...)

Last & Current Water Quality Check
11/15/2008
Amonia - 0.25 to 0.50
PH - 7.6
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0 to 0.5

2/21/2009
Amonia - 0.25 to 0.50

Luck of the draw I guess, and this almost got into a heated debate the last time I posted my water stuff. So I will say this once... my test kit is fine, it's made by API, the same one everyone else uses most likely. All tubes are cleaned / rinsed in hot water before every use...

First, sorry if I came across a bit strong before, but to answer...

The debate was that most everyone here says I can't have my water levels the way they are with a 10g tank that only has about 7.5 - 8g of water in it because of how messy turtles are etc. They also say that the water evaporation / replacement rule doesnt apply to me either because I have such a small tank and that only those with 55g plus tanks can get away with the water evaporation / replacement rule.

Edit: For those of youp who havent read any of my previous posts Nikos 10g tank is only temporary (1 to 1.5 yr) until I save money for a larger one.
