Could i possibly buy liquid Vitamin E from the store and put some of it in the water? I would assume it would absorb into his skin and bone, which could improve scute shedding.

Soak some cuttle bone bits in Vit E oil. I imagine the filter would pickup the oil pretty quick. Plus you'd have to put a whole bottle in for it to even really get to the turtle.

It would be better to offer foods that contain Vit E, rather than using a supplement.
