General Care Discussion :: I have a lot of Java Moss

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Mon Mar 09, 2009 2:20 am   I have a lot of Java Moss

I have a LOT. I am not exaggerating. It completely fills my 20gal feeder tank to the tip. I was wondering is it safe to put a lot of it inside my turtle tank? My biggest concern is that my RES can get trapped inside the thick mats of free-floating java moss and possibly suffocate. It is really the only aquatic plant that I have and I want to help the water quality a bit with the plants.

Thanks in advance for suggestions or ideas!!

Well obviously you don't want to put that much in there. Try a small amount and see how he reacts.
I build acrylic ATBAs.
