James-to Turtles need a lot of water to swim around in. It sounds like you have a lot of turtles and I would keep an eye on them as they will get aggressive with other turtles. I have found that the larger the tank with more room there is less agression. There is room to hide and get out of the others way. Good Luck. b.

Man those poor turtles. What size are the 3 that are in the 53 gallon? Also how much waters in there? Also what kind of filtration are you running on the 53 and 88 gallon tanks? Also odd I've never heard of a 53 or 88 gallon tank.
I build acrylic ATBAs.

here 53 gallon = 100cm x 40 cm x 50 cm, for water 35 cm. thats all for filter next time i shoot the photo

here 88 gallon = 120 cm x 50 cm x 55 cm, for water 40 cm. thats all for filter next time i shoot the photo and upload it in here

for those 3 in 53 gallon (2.6 inch, 4.1 inch, 5 inch)
for those 2 in 88 gallon (7.8 inch, 8.3 inch ((both of them female))

then those 4 turtle such a poor turtle.

James, 9 turtles is a lot. Too many for most people, even really caring ones.

I think you need to focus on finding homes for some so that you can give the remaining turtles the care and space that they need.
