Well I saw this ad on craigslist and couldn't help myself, I had to save her. I just picked her up about an hour ago and put her with my two other turts, I have 3 turtles now and I've been watching them and they're doing great together, my smallest one keeps following the new one around lol. Looks like I'll be upgrading to a bigger tank soon.

Poor turtle I see why you wanted too rescue her
I would be worried that her living in such bad conditions that she may be ill, putting her in with your other two before quarienteening her for 90 days put them at risk. I hope she is healthy and your turtles accept her.

You need to have this new turtle separated from the others ASAP, since you don't know if the new one is sick or not. It could give your older turtles something that'll cost you mega vet bills. Especially considering the conditions it was living in.

I would clean the tank it came with (I hope you have it) and keep it in there for a while to be sure it is in good health.

The other issue with putting a new turtle in with ones you've had for a while is that your older turtles have already established where their home is, and unless they've been raised together from a very young age, a newcomer might cause some aggression. I'm sure you know how strong turtles are, they don't mess around.

Good for you, for rescuing this turtle and giving it a new home where it'll be loved and cared for.

I don't think many people buy turtles nowadays without thinking that it'll be easy-peasy.
