I have 3 RES that I adopted recently. 2 of them are about 2 years old and seem to be in great condition. The 3rd is probably closer to 25 or 30 years old and apparently at one point was attacked by the previous owners cat. The turtle now has no lower jaw or beak. He seems to eat just fine, but it takes him a little longer because he bumps into his food and pushes it away a few times before he can finally catch it. He also seemed to have some shell damage around his head that has since compleatly healed up. I was just wondering if there is anything I can do to make things better for him. I feed him by himself so he doesn't have to compete for food, but I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can for him. I'm also concerned because he blowes bubbles out of the area where the rest of his mouth should be when he's underwater and when he comes up he has to blow water out of his mouth.
The previous owner just told me that she didn't have time to take care of him anymore so she was getting rid of all 3. I really want him to have a good and comfortable life. Any suggestions at all would be a huge help.
