Reptisafe is a blue liquid that is sold in petstores that is specificaly for reptiles that makes the water safe for them, it removes chlorine and other harmful chemicals that are in your tapwater. You could buy the distilled water or even RO water, if your pet stores sell it, but that becomes rather expensive depending on the size of your tank. You could even fill some 5 gallon buckets and let them set out for 24 hours, this removes chlorine from the water, or just fill the tank completely and let that sit for 24 hours, which will let the chlorine evaporate from the water. It's your choice. I personally jut use chlorine drops for fishtanks to remove mine.

But to my knowledge my area doesn't have particularly hard water anyway. I've had my Sisqo for 10years now and he's never had any problems with my water quality that I know of. Use whichever method you're comfortable with :)

the reptisafe removes chlorine, chloramines and adjusts the ph. Its probably the easiest way to go. that way you dont have to wait for the chlorine to evaporate out in order to do a water change
