Not having the UVB caused a vitamin deficiency, but you still need the vitamin drops to help him out.
Sulfa dip is to prevent fungus and external bacterial diseases.Don't think it will help with his eyes at all....

Yea Petsmart told me about the light and showed me which one to buy...they told me not to get the drops b/c the light would help...I'll go back tomorrow and get them. As far as his/her eyes...he/she can open them and now I can see what they look like. The Petsmart guy said it was the equivalent to a person having a sty in their eye.

Which light bulb did you wind up buying - brand name and strength?

A whole lot of things can cause swollen eyes - infection, chemicals in the water, injury, illnesses (like RI), vitamin a deficiency, dirty water, too much UVB from a bulb that's too strong or too close.

There are some drops specifically for irritated turtle eyes that are very good and soothing and not expensive. If the problem is not enough vitamin a in the diet, the drops will help. They are called Turtle Eye Drops, made by Zoo Med, and they should be in the pet store where the reptile products are. I recommend them.

If the situation doesn't improve even after you've used the Turtle Eye Drops, think about seeing your vet. If the problem is an eye infection or illness, then antibiotics are probably in order.

I can't remember the name but it was something to the tune of Terra...at a 10.0...something or another, my apologies my memory is bad. So at this moment Little One is doing a little better...he/she's eating, moving around (swimming) and he/she's opening his/her eyes. He/she is also gaining some color...which by the way I'm so happy to see Little One doing a little better. I will look into the eye drops. I also bought the Vit-A-Sol, Vitamin drops.
