Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Lately, since the heat has FINALLY come in Southern California, I've noticed that both of my turtles have spent a lot of night time out of the water on their dock. They have not shown any weird signs of illness or laziness. I'm just curious if this is a heat thing or some other reaction. FYI, the room temperature is probably around 70 - 80 (depends, it's California haha), so there isn't much to worry about there. I'm just wondering if there is a connection to this behavior.

p.s. it's been a while turtletalk, I don't come around these parts often anymore!

I've noticed that my Eastern painteds tend to sleep out of the water more in the warm months. I do think it's related to the heat/warmth.
