Hi folks, just signed up but I have a question about eggs. My female RES is about 3 yrs old and is huge. She recently began laying eggs. My question is-- How often do they lay eggs, even if they are non-fertile?

My girls lay about 3 or 4 times over the summer. Not sure what the 'norm' is.

Okay... Comparing the human female anatomy to turtle female anatomy seems to be my thing lately.

If you understand how a human woman works, well, female turtles seem to be the same way. They are all different. Some lay frequently like jenaero's, and some never lay eggs throughout their entire lifetime, and some are in between that.
