The top ridge of Filbert's shell is turning colors.... It's going from the nice rich green of the shell to a yellow-ish color. It doesn't seem like anything is *on* the shell, but more like the green is rubbing off... ???

i doubt the green is rubbing off. although, it kinda looks like it is

Is there anything in the tank he could be rubbing that ridge on?

Looks to me like the old scutes are just sticking out. Like they should be shedding, but are still holdin on. It looks like there is another layer of scute formed.

He could be rubbing on his dock, or his log tunnel, or a rock in his tank. I doubt it's the rock. Could he be due for a scute shed? The area between the scutes are very wide...
