Definitely beginning to shed.

Maybe take her out and rub her foot with your fingers for a few minutes. That might help loosen up the skin, and maybe she's just really itchy.

is there anything that will help releave her itching. becuase at the rate she is going at her foot, she is going to eventualy rip out her toe. and she is now constantly doing it.

I don't believe that is normal shedding...There's some discoloration around two if the nails. Was this there to begin with or the result of the biting? What does the underside of the paw look like? Do you see anything that could be a bite mark (from an insect)?

I think I'd take her out of the water and put some ointment (Neosporin) on it. Keep her out a bit and see if that doesn't help.

What is her diet like?

The same thing happened to my turtle. I think it was a boredom thing. I put fish in, some rocks on the bottom (bigger rocks) and rearranged the tank and the problem went away. She definitely did it because of lack of stimulation.

I was told that right away when it happened to me. I'm surprised noone mentioned it.
