As most of you know my little Luckie was un able to use his hind legs from the time we rescued him. This was due to his hind legs being burned pretty bad.
I assume they were burned from the street but not real sure. Well I am happy to say that he has had a really good shed this last week and he is using his hind legs a lot more.
I think he will gain full use of they after another shed maybe 2.
2 - RES
-Slider 5.5" male
-Luckie 5"
1- eastern painted turtle - Anubis 5.25"
1- southern painted turtle - AmunRa 2.5"
1- northern dbt - Tiki 4"
1- concentric northern dbt - Isis 5"
2 - DSH cats Spike and Grim

Oh good, I'm glad to hear that.

Wouldn't it be so awesome, after a human being was burned badly, that they could shed their skin later on to repair the scar tissue? I think a lot of burn victims would give an arm or a leg for a chance to do that.

That is so cool! I'm really glad to hear that. Outta curiosity, how do you have his habitat since he can't really swim?

Actually he swims quite well. The only thing I had to do was put in plenty of resting spots and easy acess to the basking dock. Other wise he has done rather well.

I remember when you first came on here asking about what to do for Luckie, and how much of a lack of knowledge that vet had... *sigh*
