General Care Discussion :: how do i remove the algae on my turtles shell?

i'm cleaning the tank out today since algae is forming in it and it's already on my 1-2 month hatchling.

how should i remove the algae off my hatchlings back or do i need to go to a vet? thanks

Wart-0 I use regular table salt in a strong warm water solution. Use a soft tooth brush and brush it off gently, rinse and do it again and let dry. After it dries rinse off with warm water and then return to the tank. Turtles don't like this so be aware of this. He will probably try and bite you. You will have to work on your algae problem

when i newly got my RES, it had some dirt spots and when i washed it, and used a toothbrush it would always hiss and bite at it. and it still would for any reason nessasary
