Hi i have 2 RES with 2 inch big my question is how long will it grow to be 5 inch or 6 inch cuz im just puting them into a 6 gallon aquarium and i want to upgrade to a 75g or more but my parent will not alow me to upgrade unless they will grow 5-6 inch
Because if we don't buy.....turtles won't die....

Your RES will be about 5" in about 2-3 years, but that will be far too long for them to be living in a 6 gallon tank. Even at 2 inches, I can't imagine how they can even swim in a 6 gallon! See if you can get a rubbermaid storage container, they come as large as 50 gallons. They are very inexpensive, and should last you a year or two.

its not that small its about 21lx12wx6h with 4inch of water

That's an interesting size tank! The 6 gallons I've seen are usually short in length but tall.

tre-zet - Sliders need 10 gallons per inch of carapace. A six gallon tank is way too small. If the two get to 5 inches that will require a 110 gallon tank. If you want to upgrade later, you should get a 55 gallon for the mean time. The will need that much room to grow. Good luck! m.

trebzet, that 6-gallon tank is already too small for them. They're going to live really miserable lives if they have to stay in that until they're bigger...
