just a couple of minutes ago i picked up my turtle to put him in his feeding tank and when i looked at his belly he had like these little red lines along with the pattern on his tummy already...does anyone know what this could be im really worried.....i hope you guys know what i mean when i say belly or tummy :cry: :cry: :cry: :( :(
MOMMY OF TURTLE FOR FOUR YRS...BUT VERY CLUELESS TRYING LEARN MORE ABOUT HIM...

A photo is a must in this case. I hope you are not over feeding him. Photo please! m.

Tummy = Plastron.
Could be sharp rocks in your tank that are causing it.Probably where it basks?
Please post pics of both the turtle and the tank.

Are you sure you have a red eared slider?

Is the red in the seam (the lines in between the scutes)? If so, how red is it and how wide is the seam? If your turtle is growing very quickly (usually from being overfed too much protein), the seam can be pinkish and rather wide...

A pic of what you're talking about would be good...

red lines? for some reason mine have changing dark spots near their tails. i dont' know about red lines though. If I saw them on mine I'd think they had internal bleeding (sorry, don't mean to frighten you), can you post a photo?
