my res is 10-15 yrs old, but he is only 7inc, is this normal?

If it is a male, then it is perfect. If it is a female, it's a little on the small side.

My female is about 7.5 inches and three years + old. I believe they grow about an inch per year and females max out at about 10 inches or so.
