Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

So last night my mom saw a giant field roach in our garage I said to myself,"EW". Cockroaches are one of the only bugs that actually annoys me. I don't know why. I would never kill one but I would never pick one up either. Anyway, I wake up this morning, take a shower, feed the cats and make my breakfast. I walk into the
dark TV room and lie down on my couch. The second I do this I see this huge black bug run out from the other couch and under mine. I jump up thinking once again, "EW." I keep my cool and figure that it probably is just looking for somewhere dark to hide, like under the couch and that it won't annoy me. I take my seat again.

About 3 minutes later I see the darn bug again, but this time it's on the couch right next to my legs. I jump up, turn the lights on and head into the kitchen. I find a glass, grab some paper and run back into the room. By this point, the roach has started to climb the curtains. I catch it and throw it outside. I feel great because I saved its life, and now I get to eat my breakfast in peace!

So I come home from school and I go in the backyard to give the turtles a snack. After feeding them and watching them eat, I start towards the door and find the very same large cockroach upside down. It was twitching so I knew it was alive. I tried to flip it over but one of its legs was obviously injured. So I decided that the turtles would get a treat today. I carefully pushed it onto a leaf and threw it in the pond. Right away a fish grabbed it but let in go. Then Kingler noticed it, followed by Agamemnon. By the time Agamemnon reached the Roach, all that was left was a leg. Kingler easily gulped it down in one bite, and oh was she happy.

So that is the story of the roach that got two chances of life in one day, but ended up losing its life in the end.

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me my sig is useless. Without my sig, I am useless.

I sincerely hope it really was the same roach all those times. They tend to run in mini herds. Either way, they've been around for millions of years so there's really no way to eradicate them. Good luck, and Bon Appétit to your turtles.

PS - very few living things freak me out, aside from snakes and a few deep sea creatures
