I have this UVB light. What is the recommended distance I should have it from the basking area?

That's a recommended UVB bulb. Most people who use it put it at 12" distance, I think.

That's the one I use. Mine are about 8" from the basking area. My guys haven't had any eye problems, but it probably wouldn't hurt to have a bit further away if you can.
