Hey...

I have a turtle with a fungal infection, he's had it for a while so I doubt it's anything serious, but i'm going to try and get rid of it now.

So could someone tell me what is the easiest way to cure the fungal infection? I've heard alot over the internet but I haven't really understood it much..

Thanks.

The best way is to take the turtle to the vet.
He/she will prescribe the right medication and give you instructions on how to use it.

I would start with a cleaning of the tank, top to bottom, possibly with 10% bleach (allow it to air dry completely). Also clean the filter.

I believe you can add a small amount of aquarium salt to the water to try to get rid of it, as well. You may also want to test your water using the test strips to determine if any levels are off (test prior to cleaning, and then after).

If I'm not mistaken (which I may be), fungal infections can be one of the times to use the turtle sulfa dips. You can also try a vet, of course, to get anti-fungals.
