General Care Discussion :: From tank to rubbermaid??

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Sat Dec 05, 2009 11:47 pm   From tank to rubbermaid??

Alright guys/girls as you may know i have two res. They are currently in a 10 gallon long and i am thinking about moving them to a spare 40 gal rubbermaid i have. My main concern is how the turtles will react to not having glass walls around them.

Will they just get used to their new enviroment in a matter of days??

Does anybody else have experiences in moving a turtle from a tank to a container?

ps. My turtles are around 1/2 inches big.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated!! :)

I moved my turtle from a rubbermaid to a glass container, and he was fine after a day of getting used to the new tank.

I don't see why it would be a problem the other way around

I think rubbermaids are actually better they dont swim against the walls cause they know its a wall compared to glass.

They will get used to it pretty fast.
