oki guyz tell me if this is gravel or sand ... and can i put this in my turtle`s tank? or will she eat it? cuz i dnt want to harm her in anyway but just enlighten me a lil since i cant find pure sand anywhere .. every1 tells me tht this is sand type .. but if it is gravel which it is then how to knw the difference between the two?

_ This dash mark is all the bigger the substrate should be. Anything bigger and your looking at gravel. From looking at the pics you have sand and your good to go

It's hard to tell without anything of known size for scale, but unless that's a huge fish I would call that sand.

hmmm thnx fr yr replies bulldog nd painted! ... really appreciate! ... ill go petshop nd ask him fr silica sand! and try to hold this black gravel type sand nd tht silica nd see the diff ...sand should b softer nd like powder i guess if im not mistaken!

looks alot like sand. i cant really tell though because of the colors
