Would if effect, Kill,or do anthing in a matter IF I ADD 1 teaspoon of salt to the water by mistake or should I immindently replace the water or can my Fluval U1 internal filter filter it out???? water a bit cloundy because of salt

i would say that it wouldnt kill or do anything bad to your turt. i remember reading somewhere that a little salt can discourage fungus. you might want to check that out first. as long as you didnt go crazy on the salt then you should be fine. I must say though that I am referring to the aquatic salt that you would add to a salt water fish tank, not your regular table salt! and as for the water condition you can take it out. it really doesnt do anything.

The water condicioner said in the ingretiens that it had Calcium so..?
For the salt thanks for your help! I hope that salt does not stress or do any such of the kind!

I have added aquarium salt to my tank with my RES in it. She used to have fish with her and when we would change out the water we would add salt to calm the fish and prevent ick. My RES never had a issue with it.

tide-9 I use aquarium salt in my slider tanks. I only us table salt when brushing off thier carapace. You can over do it if you are not careful. Many years ago I got some turtles that came out of a brackish inlet. I matched the salinity and they did just fine.

NEW SET UP going to add plants/BIG stones (ones he most diffently cant swallow)
