General Care Discussion :: Help pleeease :)

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Wed Mar 03, 2010 3:18 pm   Help pleeease :)

So I've had two RES for a few years now and I love them very much. Unfortunatly I am moving out of my parents house into a tiny apartment and I can't keep them anymore. It just wouldnt be fair to them because my budget will be very tight and I wouldnt be able to afford the care that they deserve.

My problem here is that I dont know what to do with them!
*obviously releasing them into the wild isnt an option ( I live in Oregon and I wouldnt do that to them or the natural habitat)
*There is one reptile store that is local and takes RES and them ships them back to their natural habitat BUT they dont have any room for my babies and they said they have no idea when they will so that doesnt look good :/

SO my question is does anyone know where I could take these little guys? Any organizations that accept them or something where I know they will be safe and taken care of? I have one big momma and one little male.

Anything would help! THANKS SO MUCH GUYS

I am in Arizona. Uh, I think you can ship them in a small ammount of water in like a "Be Carefull" sort of package if u know what i mean so they handle it with care. You can overnight it tho which mite cost like 20$ or something im not sure. If you are wanting to do this tho PM me and ill give u my adress and all that and I can look up some info on how to ship. And Yes I do have 2 Cats but they dont mess with the turtles to be honest. one of them is scared to go out of my room so that one has hardly seen the front room in like 10 months haha, NOT Kidding eather..shes freaked out by it for some reason.

Soon, they died... why? because i dont know. how is the habitat looks like.. you know... how much cold they need? how much heat they need? yea

I remember they died floating in mini aquarium (20 cm x 15 cm x 8 cm)

:( i feel guilty..

Then :) after i was 13 years old.. and i pet musa!!!! (4 inch)
he looks sick first i pet him.. dont wanna eat... dont wanna swimming.. just hide.. in small aquarium (30 cm x 18cm x 15 cm)
Looks small..
Then 1 weeks later.. still this disease worry me..
Then i call anywhere i can and i google everything, i do resreach about it.
:) Yea finally i found the doctor that vacine him..

Finally all my turtles now happy living now with me. i have 9 by the way @_@

Good to hear your turtles are doing great now James. Yeah at first there sort of hard to take care of but once you know what your doing and read about them its pretty easy.
