im moving my turtle in a tank than is 2 feet deep in may. so approx 3 months. will he be able to handle it? he is about 2.5inches now and is in a tank that is 18inches deep. so a 6inch difference.
65 Gallon
-1 RES (Myrtle)
-1 Pleco (unnamed)
-1 four lined pimelodus catfish (unnamed)
-1 shubunkin (unnamed)
29 Gallon Planted Tank
-3 cory cats
-# guppies!

yes he shuld be find i moved mine who are that size from a 20 gal filled with about 15 gallons (so about 1 ft) to a 60 gallon with 50 gallons in it(about 2.5 ft)and they did find they explored a lil and found out it was deeper so they now when to come up and they have been find in there for the past month and a half

as usual, just make sure he has something to rest on near the surface of the water. they do get tired of swimming eventually.

yea agreed cuz even though mine are doing fine when i first put them in they swam to the bottom thinking it wasnt deep like before but while they swam up they started off slowley and relized it was deeper and sped up so they can make it up then they when n the basking dock

When i first got my RES i didnt have a filter for the first 2 days so the water was only 4-6 inches deep and i got a power filter now that hangs on top..so ofc i needed to raise the water level quite a bit atleast 9 more inches for the filter to work..and i was worried that it would be too big of a change but he seems to like the extra room to swim
