Some of you may have seen that I posted about my turtle's ear abscesses in the urgent care forum and then again here about injections.
Today was my third vet visit with Steve and he once again had his abscesses lanced. I dunno if anybody has ever seen the solid mass of cottage-cheese like material that is inside of an ear abscess, but today Steve's was instead very watery, human-like pus. My vet was quite happy to see this, as it means that Steve's immune system has kicked in and is fighting off the bacteria. He's been extremely upbeat and energetic (except right now, he's mad about the vet visit) and he looks a lot better.
Basically, my vet is very optimistic that Steve is going to make it past this, and I wanted to share this news with the helpful people of this forum. As soon as I can, I'll post some pics of Steve in the right place!
