i have a 1 year old red ear slider maybe 1 year and a bit more but its around 1 ....anyway she had problem with her eyes and was under treatment for long time and she is now 6 cm...
i wanted to know if this size for her age is normal or not? and if she is too smal for her age..will she grow and cover this year , or she will be smaller than other turtlles for ever ?
thanks

This is a little less than 2.5 inches (2.36 to be more precise)...This is small for an approximately year-old turtle...Is her eye problem cured? Is she otherwise healthy?

She should grow with a good diet and habitat, how much, I don't know. Don't overfeed her to try to make up for her lack of growth so far, though.

What is her set-up like?

What is she fed? How often and how much at a feeding?

I think 3 to 4 inches is typical. So she's a little on the small side but I wouldn't be too concerned. Every turtle grows at a different rate. Just make sure your providing the correct diet and don't worry if she's a little smaller than "normal". Hope that helps.

No, I did not say your turtle should be 2.36 inches. I had converted centimeters to inches and said that 6 cm was less than 2.5 inches; the actual conversion was 2.36 inches. I did not say that's what your turtle should be.

How much your turtle grows depends on both genetics and the habitat your turtle is kept in as well as diet. I'd just concentrate on providing a healthy, balanced diet and keeping her in a good set-up.
