They look like Rosy Minnows, so yes, they are good.

Yeah, in general, you want lean fish, and those look a lot leaner (i.e. thin, streamlined) than like gold fish. Just make sure that you are buying from a reputable place, since there are toxins, parasites, and diseases that can be passed between the fish and turtle.

thanks alot
i just bought some fish for my RES...vet said when they die wash the fishes with salt cause its anti infection so any toxin and things like this will go away......and someone put A BIT of salt when they were alive and then put it in the tank and turtle hunted them and ate the fishes...i dont know if they were still salty...or that abit of salt from their body that goes to the tank will bother the turtle or not?
the tank is big ...so i dont think a bit of salt from body of fish can do something but i still ask this Question from myself...
and i changed the place of the rest of the fishes with clean water not salty! but still the clean water will get a bit salty too ....
u think is this harmfum for the turtle?

They kinda look like guppies I got the other day. They should be ok? How big are they compared to your turtle?

mine wont even eat those anymore. and if i do give it to them they have this thing against the silver ones.

they want the nice juicy orange red-ish ones. and sometimes they don't even eat them. their satisfied with goldfish

BUT im a good turtle keeper sooo i don't spoil them by getting them goldfish. either they learn how to eat minnows or no fish at all. so far they haven't had fish for almost a year now. im surprised they haven't chased me around the house for that fish
pets: 1 res

male: bought around a cold day in march 2008. stubborn yet also helpful
