turtles like to sleep under water sometimes because if you have a heater its warm water and they love that. mine do it all the time

My two RES sleep in all sorts of positions and places: under water, while basking, floating, etc. My male RES has been seen sleeping on his side like a tire leaning against a wall.

Yeah I got this log thing in my tank that sits under water and they will stick them self to it and shove there shell into the corner and just chill and sleep when all the lights are off

What's the water temp and basking temp? Sometimes they will "bask" under water if the water is warm, and they won't feel the need to haul themselves up onto the basking area.

Yeah when I first got my tank it came with these little things you put the air tube in and it makes the bubbles shoot out the top, and while cleaning the tank i steped on them cuz they were see through so they got smashed fast, it sucks now i got to find spots in the tank to hide it so that the turtles dont chew them up.

Bummer. I found a thermometer at the dollar store last time! Seems pretty accurate too.

When I first got Frankie's tank, I was cleaning the tank, and I set the glass lid on the floor. Then I stepped on that -.-' I was really PO'd with myself :( But luckily a replacement piece of glass was only about $8.
