hey Guys
ihave a filter which has a place for puting things inside like active carbon/Bio Seramic and a Net so things wont go through it! with a water pump inside in the water! i bought active carbon (Eheim) which was expensive and they say its great with bio sermaic !so first water goes to active carbon then to a net and then goes through bio sermaic and coming back to the Tank! and still after 3 days i see the water get cloudy and UNCLEAR! which is really bothering me cause i cant change the water each 5 days!
is it normal that it gets unclear? not VERY UNCLEAR but it is....after 3 days
and what else should i do? i have a 110.60.50 Tank 330Lit of water which is full by almost 250 Lit maybe! a bit more or les

If this is a new filter then it will take time to cycle. I would put the water through the Bio media first. This will mean that the bio media will do most of the work, and the carbon will get what remains. Otherwise the Bio media will be starved when you put new carbon in and the carbon will need replacing earlier. Until it settles, go for frequent partial water changes rather than changing all the water every five days, otherwise you risk wiping out all the beneficial bacteria. Resist the tempation to keep cleaning the filter for the same reason.

So U mean i change it and make it like this:water comes from the tank goes through the BIO then goes through the Carbon? got it right?
well its not new actually its about 2 month ! my filter is not eheim The Carbon is Eheim ....maybe cause i put carbon first its like this?

I don't think it would matter between the order, though I think most people would put the bio media before the carbon.
