ok so recently i noticed that my smaller turtle hisses at me when i take him out of his tank to play with him and to check his shell and make sure hes ok but he never stops hell hiss and hiss and hiss then take a breath and continue i usually try to check him really fast and then put him in his tank really fast but what is weird to me is the fact that the larger one doesn't mind hell let me play with him check him and rub his shell and wont hiss at all yet the smaller one does...do you think this is normal or is it a bad sign or what is going on
VC- 21 Most turtles don't like to be picked up. It is true that some don't hiss at you but that doesn't mean they like it. In nature when a turtle is picked up it means something is about to eat it. Normal behavior!
