General Care Discussion :: shell getting bigger or shedding?

so tucks shell looks differnt.. it looks like inbetween shell peices (sorry i dont know the right names of it) is lifting, like flaking or something.. speedys is all flush and has black between the green shll peices.
tuck is still a hatching same as speedy, i was curious, do you think this could be his shell growing or about to shed?

no i cant, because hes still scared of me, and when i grab him he jumps in the water.. i could try to take a picture through the tank while he's basking.
