A question about a quirk on my RES.
I found two oval scab-like marks on the top of its head, between the eyes. They are kind of the same green of the skin in the center, but goes white at the edges--and they appear to be a little raised. It's been there for at least two days now.
The RES is just about 1.5 inches long (shell length), so it's a little difficult to get a proper view. I've tried to get a picture, but all the cameras in the house give me blurry pictures.
I'm worried because this one used to share a tub with another RES, which recently passed away--due to RI, I think: swollen eyes, lethargy, etc. That one also already had some queer blisters on the limbs when I got it. After it passed away I cleaned the tub and everything in it. Could it be an infectious disease of some sort? Or is it fungi, being whitish in colour? The RES is still behaving as merrily as ever...
I haven't been able to locate a herp vet in my area--if anyone has suggestions on what I could do about it, they have my thanks.
I'd try get a clear picture up as soon as I can--time to find a nice camera.
