i noticed the filter was dodgy.. well, its not working at all now. it had stopped prior to getting to the stage im at but i thought it just needed cleaning. well, its fubarred..

anyone got a donation filter or one i can have for cheap. need aprox 1800 litres per hour flow rate.

thanks guys.. i can pay for postage or can collect if anyones near hartlepool. (no monkey hanger jokes, theres plenty of rope left)

Good luck in someone giving you a filter that big for free. Turtles are not cheap to keep. I have several tanks and I know of what I speak.

oh no doubt, but if you dont ask then you never get to know. its always worth a try.

i knew in the beginning they werent cheap but i managed to get everything i needed for a surprisingly cheap price.

while im looking for the cash i may as well ask if anyone has one they no longer use.

well craigs list over here isnt very popular. i check on ebay several times a day and am currently watching some items. but being on a major tight budget im having a little trouble fi9nding one. im sure ill manage to pull something out of my [---] though.

well ive managed to get a filter, but i need a pump for it.

i got a

Laguna Pressure-Flo 5000 UVC Pond Filter.

max flow 5000l/ph

im planning to get a 3500l/ph pump. which will give me better water clarity. the guy i got it from has an outdoor pond with koi in. its absolutley beutiful. its as clear as spring water.

ha gave me some advice on what to use and i believe every word he said. especially seeing the clarity of his pond.

i know it may seem a bit extreme using a pond filter, but i want low maintainence. plus the filter can remain in place for cleaning as it has a self cleaning mechanism.
