Recently over the last couple of weeks my 6-7 year old female slider is going absolutely crazy, she pulls apart everything in her tank e.g her filters of walls, heater of suction cups and fake grass of the walls, Even some how she pulls the basking light into the tank, she even pulls the large turtle dock off the side of the tank.. what has got me to write this up on here is that my 4 foot tank is based in my room only feet away from where i sleep, getting her to sleep is quite hard, this means turning the lights off in the room an hour before i go to sleep.. but even when she does go to sleep, shes going to wake up.. basically every night she wakes me up at either 12, 2,3,4,6,7 o'clock in the morning to hell, shes seriously cursed lol. theres nothing i can do to stop her from violently swimming and splashing and crashing in her tank, she has heaps of space to swim. she did this same time last year so i believe it may be something due to breeding season..and the last time i felt there where some eggs, but not alot. i also take her for a walk once a day to get it out of her system but that doesnt help at all.
thanks and if you know any way i can calm her down i would be happy to hear.
Joel.
