Today when i was cleaning my RES tank i noticed the bottom of his shell was kinda pinkish reddish the part where his head is is normal but after the first set of scutes it gets kinda pinkish and reddish.
What is this?
I will see if i can get a picture of it my camera might be to crappy to get it cause its not a deep dark red or pink its light.

Its probably just normal. Usually they get redish/pinkish sometimes while they are growing.

Yea its just the turtle growing, the scutes will get harder and you wont notice it.

It's hard to say when a turtle will start shedding- it just happens when it's ready. If all needs are being met then I'm sure your turt will shed in due time. You seem like you take good care of your turtle so I wouldn't worry about it. :)

I'm so happy because Sid finally shed ONE of her retained plastron scutes. Now waiting for that took FOREVER- it just takes time really.
