I was looking on this website i and i found a few products and i was wondering if they are worth it and help my turtle.
First this is some kind of spray to help reptiles and amphibians shed, it said nothing about shells shedding only skin so i was wondering if i would be able to put this on my turtles shell? http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/461/product.web And http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/13119/product.web

Second This is s spray i can use for calcium since my RES hates his cuttle bone. Is it a good product to use? Also would i be able to spray it on anything?

Also this calcium slow dissolving block that you put in the water. Does it do anything? Also since my turtle likes to eat everything in his tank other then his cuttle bone and vegetables will it harm him if he eats it?

And last this Dr. Turtle sulfa block prevents illness and stuff. Same thing with the calcium block will it harm him? and does it do anything?

Sorry for the the long post i just don't want to go out and waste money on stuff that might not help my turtle

I've never seen the Shed Ease, but anything you put on an aquatic turtle usually comes right back off in the water, so I'd say it's not worth it. Sheds will happen as nature intended them, esp. with the right food and the right light, and we encourage little interference from humans here on the board.

The Calcium Supplement Spray and the Vitamin Supplement Spray, again, it will come off in the water when you put the food in. Have you tried the turtle jello shots for getting the calcium in? You can crush up cuttlebone since it's cheaper than buying calcium in pill form, and you don't need to add all of the ingredients, you can just make it with calcium/cuttlebone if you'd like. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=17486

The Dr. Turtle Slow Release Calcium Block will just make your water hard, or harder, and they get so little calcium through skin absorption. Also, any cuttlebone or jello shot residue will already do this.

And the sulfa block is ONLY to be used as needed to treat fungus or shell rot, period. No exceptions. Your turtle will build up a tolerance to it otherwise and then it won't be effective when it is needed.

So in short, nope, don't buy any of that!!

Ah okay i already tried the jello shots at first he ate a tiny bit but now he hates them. Also with the calcium spray the description said to spray the pellets and let them dry.
Also how do i know if my turtle is shedding healthy? I never find any scutes in his tank or see any new scutes. He is shedding right now but it looks the same everyday. I feed him mostly pellets everyday and try to give him veggies crickets one ever other week same with meal worms.
I do not have a UVB light for him at the time but i am looking for a fixture to put my reptisun 10.0 uvb rod in. But i sometimes take him outside in the sun for about 30 minutes since its always around 95-100 degrees here.
