Hi :D ,

Please advice...i wanted to know if growth timing is right, if is healthy and how is the shell's health?

Spiky came from a local lake. I have him for over 4months now, so i think he is about 6months old? Less?
I have a UVB and Basking light (sometimes temp gets to 100!!!)
I feed Spiky Reptomins, turtle bites, fruits and veggies when he eats...
here are the pictures
also he is 2.5"long 2.0"wide and weight 1.3oz

It looks like he might be growing to fast. How much are you feeding him? Or he just needs a really good shed.

My turtle looks exactly the same as yours. The scutes are really dark except for the very top of them. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?

It does look like he grew fast but that is an issue you can correct with an appropriate diet. I'd cut down on the Reptomin and high-protein foods.

AmberKidd, if the seams between the scutes are large, then that is an indication of fast growth.
