im begining to worry about my turtles shell.... i've noticed that it feels soft and im worried that it might have a soft shell does anyone have advice on lighting fixtures that i can get for my RES ?
I'll try to post pictures of him soon to see if he looks okay.

you can purchase dome lights at your local hardware store, they're usually cheaper there than the flukers ones offered at pet stores.

so when you say flunkers, you mean the casing (sorry cant think of the better word!) for the bulb? do you have any recomendations for the UVB bulb itself?

flukers is the brand of the fixture that holds the bulb, yes. Reptisun is a good brand for bulbs
