General Care Discussion :: help me please

I had RES for a month now. it was healthy and eating well. it was bsking regularly. It was almost 2 inches. i bought it a fish tank with filter. i put turtle vitamins for it. I fed it turtle pellets, dried worms, and small guppies. it really loved the worms. 3 days ago i bought another one. so yesterday Mady(the old one) stopped eating and it died this morning. I want to know why. By the way i had a heater in the tank. The water temperature was 32 degrees.

32 degrees is freezing. Are you sure about the temp? What size is your tank and what fitler (gph)?

i hope you mean celsius which would make it about 90 fahrenheit

Also I've heard that baby. Turtles have a high fatality rate some die for no reason and it could also be possible that the new turtle you put in there is sick or something and could of contributed to the death since I'm guessing you didn't quarantine him first.

Sorry about your turtle. Sometimes they are sick and don't show it until it's almost too late, true, but the excessively warm water he was kept in and the unbalanced diet he was fed (what kind of worms?) didn't help him any...
