hi,just changed my lighting to a mercury bulb,uv and heat...since ive done this my tezza has been basking all day long,as to before she basked for about 3 to 4 hours at a time..i know shes really loving the new bulb,but her skin starts to dry up and is coverd with,what looks like white dust....????i try and give her a tap on the bum so she jumps in the water,but shes having none of it,shes chillin to the max,legs all in superman position,ha ha. could this be dried up shedding skin???

Sure can..
Did you follow the guidelines of the manufacturer of the bulb on distance?

Ye sure did,300mm from bulb to turtle..

I think it's usually mineral deposits from the water. You might also want to measure the temp of the basking area. How big is your RES now?

turtle is 5" not quite sure what temperature is....
