I have a small (less than 2") red ear slider in a 10gal tank with no filtration or heater. I keep about 2" of water in it and have a small platform. I recently set up tropical fish tanks for my kids and was wondering if I can transfer the baby turtle in one of those tanks. It would probably be much better quality water and warmer too but I would have to suspend some kind of platform above water level for basking. My concern is salmonella - will it sicken the fish and would it be dangerous for the kids of they touch the water (right now the turtle is not in their rooms). Thank you in advance!
