Looks good to me. some of the scutes seem like they could use some sun tho but other then that fine.

He could use some shedding. It also looks he grew a little too fast as well, so it might be a good time to cut down on the protein.

uh oh.. okay. With him growing so fast, is that permenant damage? Ahh, I hope Niko is okay. And if his pellets were the length of the diameter of a penny, how many should I be giving him?

At this stage, it should be correctable. Have you read over the pellets section? How old is he now?

Have you tried feeding anything other than pellets? There is a sticky that lists several good food options. If you haven't started on veggies yet, you might try. My turts love everything red and orange, so carrots and strawberries are fail proof, lol.

I have tried some things other then pellets but he doesn't take to them. But I better try again. He is approximately 8 months old. Carrots and strawberries? Are they of good nutritional value for Niko? I shall try them.

Nico's a nice looking RES , but would look even nicer if those old scutes came off (the smaller ones that are outlined in white).
