Hello! I have a question. I have three baby red ear sliders. I set up everything for them (heat, lamp, basking are, etc) and they are doing wonderful. When they were in their tank for first couple of days basking, you could approach them anytime and they wont even move. They will bask and don't even pay attention at you. You could even touch them, they don't care. Two of them are still like that, but the third one... first, he was calm as a rock, you could take close up pictures (no flash) look closely and he doesn't care. But now after couple of days in his new tank, when you are approaching the tank, he just shoots off from the basking area and hides. I mean, I read a lot of posts why they are afraid and everything, I understand new environment, people, etc, but my question is, how come he wasn't afraid of me in the FIRST PLACE and now, he acts like he even seen me before? I didn't change anything in their environment, it's just happen out of nowhere. Why he is afraid of me now???

Is the tank in a different location and/or made of a different material?

No, everything is the same: location, material... Couple of days, I could make this kind of picture... but now, i cant even approach it... I just don't know what might have caused it so when he sees me< he just hides immediately...

It could just be different personalities. After all these years, my RES might either furiously beg, do a 180 and swim away or do nothing. You do need an appropriate setup too, I can't be certain from the picture.

Maybe the other 2 are bullying that one and he's getting a little more skittish? Are they fighting for food or something?

No, they are all very friendly! They share food? even now< two of them on the "sun" and third one is swimming around and waiting when I will leave the room. I understand if it was happening from the beginning, but now when she sees me, she trying to hide ASAP... Weird.. :(
