i was just looking at filbert, and it seems that his/her cloaca is "open" and that the tail is sorta distended towards the body. i tried to hold some lettuce over his/her tank so i could check it out closer, but he didn't stay still long enough.

it *appears* that the cloaca is open, and it appears that *something* is there. i don't know if filbert is a boy or a girl yet (still too little), so i don't know if it could be a penis or not. there's no gravel or other small objects in the tank that s/he could have ingested. could he be constipated? the "thing" in the cloaca that i saw wasn't the greenish color of poo, though. and i read on the forum that if a turt is constipated, they kick at their tail. which s/he is not doing. filbert is acting normally otherwise.
ok, i just re-checked filbert's butt. the cloaca is now closed. (it was pretty funny, s/he looked at me, then tucked his/her tail to the side like "what are YOU looking at?") but i gave him an extra piece of cucumber just in case s/he is a bit constipated, maybe the fiber will help?
