How do you choose a vet that is right for a turtle? I've never considered taking my turtle to the vet before, but I recently realized that its foolish to not at least have one picked out so that if something happens I know where to call.

First, you want to look for a vet near you that specializes in Reptiles, especially herps. If there is no reptile specialist in the area, call near-by vets and ask about their knowledge of turtles and other reptiles.

Try googling "herp vet in (city)". That's what I did.
