Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Hey guys, I haven't been on here in a while. I'm just curious my turtle Turdy is shedding
for the first time since I have acquired her.
Her shell has always looked weird so I figured when she sheds it will look good.
Well.
She got out of her tank today while I was not home.
I got home and she was completely dry and her scutes were raised more than when I first
noticed she was starting to shed.
She's back in the water now and is doing fine.
It was a big drop....
So... back to my question, Should i dry dock her to help her shed or should i just let her bask as usual...?
Thanks guys!

First off make sure to examine her for any cracks or breaks on her shell from the fall :/
For my turtles I fed them sone blueberries to enhance the shedding and took them outside for some
Good ol natural sunlight and the scutes just started coming off ;) no harm in trying!

Yeah we've inspected her pretty good and we're in the northwest, it's snowing :)
So we're thinking of another type of dry dock solution, but we're not sure.
Any suggestions would be helpful. :)
I almost forgot to ask you, why blueberries? :)

No need to dry dock as long as she's basking and you have a uvb and heat light. Some people use Koi wheat germ pellets to assist with shedding. For the vitamin E content. Just feed a couple of times a week in place of her regular food. I'm not sure why blueberries maybe they have vitamin E as well.

Blueberries help aid in shedding bcuz of the Vitamin content within it
