Ok, so i finally got my little 2 turtles to eat, but, i need to know what kind of bulbs to get, i have a clamp fixture, What do i use for them basking? And what do i just use for the whole aquarium? Also what's the difference? Here's a pic of 2 of the lights i have.
I'm not sure what kind of bulbs they got in them, but this 1st one, produces a little heat...
I ordered from Amazon the Zoo Med Nightlight Red Reptile Bulb 60 Watts (many reviewers seem to have RES) and the Zoo Med ReptiSun® 5.0 Compact Fluorescent Lamp. I assume you'd also find a UVB lamp for the long fixture or maybe a heat lamp. Have you looked at Amazon under the ZooMed products? Sorry I can't be of any better help, I'm totally new to this myself.
Well i got a heat fixture, just need the bulb for it as for as that goes, but whats the other one, i think UVB is the heat that they bask under, Whats UVA? And how can i get it?
Ok well i just bought this for 10 dollars, (look at pic below) So now what do i need? Thats a UVA i bought. For them to bask, i got a longer fixture / lightbulb that goes over the whole aquarium.
Be careful with the 100 watt if your tank's small. Use thermometers. I think you can use an everyday house hold bulb for UVA + heat. UVB is what needs to be specially bought.
